Wayzata, Minn., police search for men in home invasion

LONG LAKE, Minn. — Police in the Lake Minnetonka area are looking for three men they say broke into a Long Lake home, tied up and beat a husband and wife and stole their car.

Wayzata Police say on Sunday the three suspects are still at large. The Star Tribune reports they forced their way into a home Saturday and bound the couple with duct tape in their basement (http://bit.ly/1c32Mfv ).

The woman freed herself after about 90 minutes and called police. Investigators believe the men were in the home for most of those 90 minutes, during which a gun went off and one of the suspects may have been struck by a bullet fired by his accomplice.

Police are looking for a red 2014 Kia Sorento with Minnesota license 723-KVL. They say the men could be armed and dangerous.
