Moorhead man injured in I-94 crash near SpiritwoodSPIRITWOOD, N.D. – A 49-year-old Moorhead man was injured Friday afternoon in a crash on Interstate 94 near the Spiritwood exit.
The man was eastbound on I-94 when he lost control of his vehicle, said Deputy Casey Yunck of the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department. The vehicle went off the road and tipped to its side but didn’t roll over, Yunck said.
When officers arrived, the driver couldn’t get out of the vehicle, and the Jamestown Fire Department was called to help with extraction, Yunck said.
The driver was transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center at about 3:20 p.m. with injuries that were not life threatening, Yunck said.
Yunck, who was not at the scene, said he was not aware of anyone else in the vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation.
