Female juvenile hospitalized after rollover crash in West Fargo

WEST FARGO — Police responded to a rollover crash on Sheyenne Street Thursday evening that sent one person to the hospital.

A female juvenile was driving a Toyota Scion north on Sheyenne Street in West Fargo, south of Interstate 94, when she lost control of her vehicle and veered into the southbound lane. She struck a Dodge Nitro driven by an adult male.

He saw it coming and tried to veer out of the way, but his SUV rolled over, said Ryan Denis with the West Fargo Police. The man sustained minor scrapes and cuts to his legs and arms and was released from the scene.

The female driver was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with injuries that weren’t life threatening, Denis said. She complained of pain after the accident.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts and alcohol was not a factor.

The cause of the incident is still under investigation. Denis said the driver of the Scion said she doesn’t remember what happened.
