Medical examiner: Death of Twin Cities boy, 4, was homicide

BURNSVILLE, Minn. — The death of a 4-year-old Burnsville boy last month has been ruled a homicide.

The Hennepin County medical examiner's office said Thursday that Keyontay Miller-Peterson died of blunt-force trauma to the abdomen.

The boy died at the home he shared with his mother on June 11. Police were called to the town house about 5 p.m. on a report of “medical problems.” The boy was dead when officers arrived.

The Star Tribune (http://bit.ly/12nkarZ ) reports a 24-year-old man was arrested as he tried to drive away from the home. Police said then that he was the only suspect, but he has not been charged in the boy's death.
