Ex-Washington Redskins coach Joe Gibbs to speak to male Cass County Jail inmates

FARGO – A Super Bowl-winning coach, NASCAR team owner and best-selling author will visit inmates at the Cass County Jail this morning.

Joe Gibbs, former Washington Redskins head coach, and owner and founder of Joe Gibbs Racing, will speak to male inmates about his “Game Plan for Life.”

His message is based on the idea that God is the head coach and the Bible is his game plan. He’ll share “winning strategies outlined in the Bible” to help men find success.

Members of the public can get a taste of this message during a news conference at 10:30 this morning at the jail, 450 34th St. S. The public will not be allowed further into the jail where Gibbs’ presentation will take place due to security reasons.

Gibbs, of North Carolina, coached the Redskins from 1981-92 and again in 2004-08, leading the team to three Super Bowl titles. He launched his NASCAR racing venture in 1991.

“Game Plan for Life,” Gibbs’ New York Times best seller, was released in 2009. He and several other experts maintain a website of the same name for men addressing issues like health, career, addiction, relationships and more.
