Horace motorcyclist cited after crash on I-29 in FargoFARGO – A motorcycle rider was cited Tuesday night after losing control of his motorcycle and being thrown from it into a post on the 19th Avenue North exit on Interstate 29 here.
North Dakota Highway Patrol Capt. Bryan Niewind said in a news release that the driver, Jason M. Oien of Horace, was heading north on I-29 on his 2000 Suzuki GX6 at about 9:55 p.m. when he lost control of the bike while trying to get off the interstate.
Niewind said Oien was on the 19th Avenue North exit when the bike left the roadway and entered the point of the interchange between where the road and the ramp diverge.
Oien was thrown from the bike and hit a post. He was taken by F-M Ambulance to Sanford Medical Center. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Oien was cited with care required, driving under suspension and driving without liability insurance.
Niewind said the crash remains under investigation.
