Letter: F-M celebrates beautiful summerOne of the activities I love during our short summer season is an early morning walk or bike ride. It’s “me” time, and in addition to my thoughts going in a multitude of directions, my eyes do, too.
We who live here take this time of year seriously. You can see it everywhere. Lawns are manicured, pots adorn front steps, garden flags and yard ornaments are in abundance. Even the smallest apartment balcony has a flower box or two. Once set free from the igloo, we race to embrace this glorious season.
But before we run out of breath – or time – it would do all of us a world of good to stop and smell the roses, petunias, day lilies, and even the grass. Thank you, Fargo-Moorhead, for the beauty of the season. Now let’s remember to enjoy it.
