Professional development - 07/20/13Three certified in hospice, palliative care
Registered nurses Amanda Steiner and Colette Wagner have earned the hospice and palliative nurse certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Tricia Langlois, who specializes in internal and geriatric medicine, has earned board certification in hospice and palliative medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
All are with Hospice of the Red River Valley in Fargo.
Jon Christianson earns CPA certification
Jon Christianson of Widmer Roel PC, a public accounting and business advisory firm in Fargo, has earned the certified public accountant designation.
Christianson is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead and has been with the firm since 2012.
Sherva earns national housing certification
Kasye Sherva has passed the Housing Choice Voucher and Public Housing Rent Calculation Certification through the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Organization.
She received a bachelor’s degree in social work from Minnesota State University Moorhead and is a licensed social worker. Sherva works for the Fargo Housing and Redevelopment Authority as an assistant manager/service coordinator for New Horizons and Pioneer Manor.
Hanson attends AMTA orientation program
Valerie Hanson, owner of Body & Sole Massage and Reflexology in Fargo, recently attended the American Massage Therapy Association Chapter Volunteer Orientation Program in Chicago.
Hanson is first vice president of the North Dakota AMTA.
The conference focused on training AMTA board members to create an engaging experience to share with members and perspective members.
