Chamber honors Margie Bailly as Legacy Leader
The Legacy Award recognizes the contributions of longtime local leaders in shaping and serving the chamber and the region.
From 1997 to 2011, Bailly served as director of the Fargo Theatre. During her tenure, she oversaw a $3 million renovation, established the Fargo Film Festival and opened a second screen.
Among her many volunteer roles, she has served as president of the Fargo Moorhead Civic Opera, the Fargo Moorhead Junior League, the Fargo Moorhead Area Foundation Women’s Fund and Fargo Kiwanis.
She has also served on the boards at the United Way of Cass Clay, the Downtown Business Association, the Fargo Theatre, the Lake Agassiz Arts Council and Gethsemane Episcopal Church.
Bailly served on The Chamber’s board of directors from 2000 to 2006. She pushed for the addition of a Not-For-Profit of the Year category in the ChamberChoice Awards, which was added in 2006.
