5 suffer minor injuries in southeast ND bus crash
VALLEY CITY, N.D. — Five people suffered minor injuries when a passenger bus went off the road and into a field in southeastern North Dakota.
KOVC radio reports that the driver of the Jefferson Lines bus told police that the brakes failed while he was trying to exit Interstate 94 at Valley City about 5 a.m. Monday. He lost control and the bus went into a field.
Authorities say five people were taken to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Valley City police and the state Highway Patrol are investigating.
Jefferson Lines did not immediately respond to Associated Press requests for comment made by phone and email.
About two months ago, a Jefferson Lines bus caught fire near Williston in northwestern North Dakota. No passengers were harmed.
