Erie man hospitalized after being run over by tractorERIE, N.D. — A 72-year-old man was injured Friday when he was run over by a tractor on his property.
Robert Henderson was working alone on the property in Erie when the accident occurred, said Cass County Deputy Jade Van Den Einde, who responded to the incident. Henderson was airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Fargo. His condition is not known at this time.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating how Henderson was run over by the tractor and is trying to determine whether he was driving and he fell off, or if he was working alongside the equipment.
After the tractor hit him, it continued moving until it hit a support wire for a power pole in the yard, knocking out electricity in the house. Inside the house, Henderson’s brother, who is immobile, thought something must have gone wrong and called 911.
