Jarvis achieves trust, financial certification

Paul Jarvis, vice president/senior wealth management adviser in the wealth management division of Bell State Bank & Trust, Fargo, has achieved designation as a certified trust and financial adviser.

The CTFA designation is a standard for ensuring fiduciary expertise in wealth management and trust officers. The requirements include three years of experience, completion of an approved training program and passing a comprehensive exam.

Eight area tile installers earn certification

The Ceramic Tile Education Foundation held the first North Dakota certification exam in February and all eight participants completed the exam.

The newly certified installers are: Dennis Schonhoff, Tile Pro; Paul Jacobson, Jacobson Tile; Jon Sheldon, Tile Masters; Floyd Wangen, Interior Tile Design; and Dan Thornby, Mike Mees, Karl Kemfer and Adam Klein, all installers associated with The Floor to Ceiling Store.

Occupational therapists attend workshop

Leslie Pladson and Sarah Rodenburg, occupational therapists at Pediatric Therapy Partners, Fargo, attended the Complementary Interventions for Autism, Asperger’s, Sensory and ADHD in Children and Adolescents workshop provided by Summit Professional Education.

The therapists learned practical strategies for improving children’s self-control and social skills in school, home and public settings. They also learned how to reduce distractibility or fidgeting, stop or redirect anger and reduce tantrums.
