Trails for Transplants raises more than $40KFARGO – The Trails for Transplants, a 311-mile trail ride across North Dakota and Minnesota, raised more than $40,000.
More than 100 riders joined the 14-day trek from Warren, Minn., to St. An-thony, N.D.
Six riders made the entire trip, and a number of others rode the majority of the segments. The $40,000 raised will be given to the Gift of Life House in Rochester, Minn., where it will be used to offset the costs of housing for organ recipients in need of financial support.
“A special thanks and recognition is due the communities across North Dakota that welcomed us and showed hospitality above and beyond our expectations, providing meals, staging areas and facilities,” said co-organizer Roger Hille.
Co-chair Ashley Peterson said she is already planning for next year’s ride.
