Sex offender wanted by Moorhead police arrested in rural Towner County, NDMOORHEAD – Moorhead police say one of three sex offenders wanted by the department for violating their predatory offender registry requirements has been arrested in rural Towner County, N.D.
Manuel Montez Reyes, 35, was taken into custody without incident by deputies with the Towner County Sheriff’s Department following a citizen tip, Moorhead police Lt. Tory Jacobson stated in a news release.
Reyes is being held on several warrants in the Devils Lake, N.D., jail.
Two other sex offenders, Billy Joe Ortiz, 32, and Denver Lee Spotted Horse, 20, are still wanted by Moorhead police for failing to keep authorities up to date on their current situations.
Jacobson said Reyes’ arrest was the direct result of the media and the public’s assistance.
