Timeline of history of Coach's building

MOORHEAD – Here is a timeline of important dates in the history of 617 Center Ave. in Moorhead:

- 1940 – building is constructed (according to Moorhead city records).

- 1976 – Trader and Trapper restaurant opens.

- 1995 – Trader and Trapper, also known as the T&T, opens its own microbrewery.

- 1999 – Trader and Trapper closes.

It was a restaurant at the time and it had a downstairs lounge and a microbrewery. The lounge had been a popular nightspot among local college students for many years.

- 2001 – Coach’s Sports Pub and Buffet opens in the former Trader and Trapper building.

- 2004 – Jason Reinhardt is found dead at a Moorhead fraternity after friends say he had 15 shots at Coach’s on his 21st birthday.

- 2005 – Coach’s closes after the city of Moorhead declines to renew its liquor license.
