Style Profile: Student chooses edgy, fun style

FARGO - Danielle Nordsletten doesn’t shy away from trends.

The 20-year-old North Dakota State University student works at Proper & Prim and jokes that she always has a pile of clothes to buy at the end of her shifts at the trendy downtown boutique.

I spotted Nordsletten at work in a fun tank featuring Abe Lincoln and a cat paired with an asymmetrical skirt.

Describe your style. Edgy.

What are you wearing today? Shirt from Urban Outfitters, skirt and necklace from Proper & Prim and sandals from Macy’s.

Do you have any style icons? I’m really inspired by Miley Cyrus’s style.

I also watch “Pretty Little Liars.” Aria (Lucy Hale’s character) is my favorite because she’s rebellious in her style. I’m already planning to wear boots with tall socks and a skirt in the fall.

What’s your most-prized fashion possession? My grandma’s wedding ring (a thin gold band with a round diamond set in a gold square).

What trends are you into this summer? Crop tops and neon. I go through phases, so now I’m all about crop tops and pops of color, and in the fall I was all about spikes.

Where do you shop, besides Proper & Prim? H&M and Urban Outfitters.

Are you a dog person or a cat person? I have one cat named Kitty. She showed up on my doorstep two Halloweens ago.

If you had an unlimited amount of money, what would you buy? A black Rolex watch.
