FARGO – A car hopped a curb at a high rate of speed this morning before smashing into an apartment complex garage and causing significant damage to the structure, Fargo police Lt. Joel Vettel said.

The incident was reported about 3:30 a.m. and it happened in the 3500 block of 30th Avenue South.

Vettel said when officers arrived on the scene they found two adult males in the car.

The two men were taken to a local hospital with injuries, he said.

Vettel said the investigation into the crash is ongoing, and charges are anticipated once the investigation is complete.

He said investigators are still working on determining who was behind the wheel of the car at the time of the crash.

Vettel said the crash caused considerable noise, resulting in numerous 911 calls.
