Letter: ND does not need costly higher ed chancellorWhy, oh why does North Dakota need an expensive chancellor of the Board of Higher Education? The 11-university system in a small state seems to be doing very well, thank you.
The latest incredible debacle involving Hamid Shirvani should convince us of the negativity of the position. While in the past, we have had two or three chancellors, most have been divisive indeed. Let’s save a bundle of money and apply it to lower tuition or support sadly lacking children’s programs such as Head Start or the milk fund.
