Ex-Ariz. deputy gets 6 months in WF attackFARGO – A former Arizona sheriff’s deputy has been sentenced to six months in jail after pleading guilty to charges that he beat up a man who slept with his wife.
Timothy Abrahamson, 41, of Glendale, Ariz., was sentenced Thursday in Cass County District Court to six months and five days in jail plus two years supervised probation after pleading guilty to aggravated assault, a Class C felony. He was given credit for one day he had already served in jail.
Abrahamson pleaded guilty in May as part of a deal struck with prosecutors.
He was charged last November with aggravated assault, accused of driving to the West Fargo home of Jason Swart on Sept. 16 and punching Swart out in his driveway. Court records said Abrahamson had discovered Swart – who lost part of an ear in the attack – had reconnected with Abrahamson’s wife, a high school classmate.
