Style Profile: Young professional favors feminine, eclectic fashion

FARGO – Bethany Petry enjoys scouring a thrift store for vintage rings as much as a trip to Target for smart basics.

The insurance account representative at State Farm Insurance favors classic pieces and adds her own twist.

The day I spotted Petry downtown at Babb’s Coffee House, she was wearing a leopard print scarf that added just enough zest to her simple outfit.

Describe your style. Preppy with a vintage twist. I like to wear plain pieces with something to spice it up.

What are you wearing today? Dress and shoes from Target, Express scarf, Lacoste watch, rings from Etsy and eBay, and bracelets from O’Day Cache and Proper & Prim.

What inspires your style? I read Us Weekly and look at Pinterest, but I’m a big people watcher. I take ideas from people I see.

What’s your favorite thing in your wardrobe right now? My new glasses from Selima Optique in New York City. The brand is called SALT Optics.

Where do you shop? Everywhere, I like to dig and get a deal. I like Target, TJ Maxx, Gap, Forever 21, Proper & Prim and LOT 2029.

It’s Friday night. Where are you? Probably at the HoDo. The staff is so friendly, and the option to go on the roof is wonderful.

What’s your drink of choice? Vodka soda with lime. The HoDo has a lime vodka by Hangar 1 that’s really good in a vodka soda.
