Hires and promotions - 06/29/13Houston Engineering hires Ferrie in Fargo
Michael Ferrie has joined Houston Engineering in Fargo as an entry-level water re-source engineer. He is a native of Moorhead and graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in civil engineering.
He most recently was a staff engineer for Interstate Engineering, Wahpeton, N.D.
Heartland Trust Co. in Fargo hires Nelson
Jan Nelson has joined Heartland Trust Co., Fargo.
She has experience as a charitable giving and estate planning consultant, most recently with the Concordia College Foundation.
Nelson is also a certified public accountant and has been involved in tax reporting and fiduciary tax work.
Village hires Johnson as writing assistant
Kelsy Johnson has joined The Village Family Service Center in Fargo as a writing assistant.
Johnson graduated from Concordia College with a bachelor’s degree in print journalism and global studies. She has also been a member of the North Dakota Army National Guard since 2006.
Bredeson joins PACES architectural group
MedNational Architecture/PACES Lodging, Fargo, has added Heather Bredeson to its architectural group.
Bredeson earned a master’s degree in architecture and a bachelor’s degree in environmental design from North Dakota State University. She received an associate degree in architectural drafting and estimating technology from the North Dakota State College of Science.
Bredeson previously worked at Anderson Architecture as an architectural intern.
Coldwell Banker First Realty hires Normandin
Amy Normandin has joined the Coldwell Banker First Realty sales team in Fargo.
She is licensed in North Dakota and Minnesota and has six years of experience in automotive sales. She has also owned and operated Amy’s Helping Hands cleaning business for the past seven years.
Normandin is originally from Crookston, Minn., and attended Bemidji (Minn.) State University.
Choice Financial hires three new employees
Seth Farkas and Marilee Behling have joined Choice Financial as frontline customer service representatives at the bank’s location at 4501 23rd Ave. S., Fargo, and Kelcie Priebe has joined the bank as
a virtual banker at the bank’s operations center in Fargo.
Farkas has retail management experience and has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Behling has more than six years of frontline banking experience from Wells Fargo, and Priebe has previous banking experience, most recently as a service adviser with Wells Fargo. Priebe is currently attending Rasmussen College, Fargo, to obtain a business management degree.
Western Computer names VP of operations
Kelly Holwagner has been named vice president of operations at Western Computer. Western is a global Microsoft business solutions reseller and implementation company.
He was previously employed by Microsoft, formerly Great Plains Software, since 1998. He will continue to live and work from Fargo.
Hawkins hired as risk management consultant
Dan Hawkins has joined Hurley & Associates as a risk management consultant. He will work with farm clients in Minnesota and North Dakota, and will be based out of the firm’s office in Glenwood, Minn.
He previously worked for John Deere and Co. in production development, marketing and customer/product support for farm machinery and precision agriculture technologies.
Halverson hired as tax associate at Fargo firm
Faith Halverson has joined the tax department of Widmer Roel as a tax associate in the firm’s Fargo office.
She has a bachelor’s degree from North Dakota State University.
Sanford Occupational hires Alabi, Larson
Sanford Health Occupational Medicine Clinic, Fargo, has hired Olasunkanmi “Ola” Alabi as industrial hygiene supervisor and Mark Larson as a first aid and safety specialist.
Alabi has advanced degrees in industrial hygiene from the University of Illinois, Chicago. He previously worked with the University of Illinois at the Chicago Environmental Health and Safety Office, the World Health Organization and the U.N. Development Project. He was also the public health inspector for zoonotic disease prevention with the Ministry of Agriculture, Calabar, Nigeria, for more than eight years.
Larson will be responsible for the sales and service of first aid supply cabinets and various other safety products available to Sanford’s customers in the Fargo-Moorhead and surrounding areas. He has many years of customer service experience.
Keller Williams Roers names six new agents
The Keller Williams Roers Realty Market Center in Fargo has added six real estate agents.
The new agents are Jammy Ryckman, Jen Mansour, Joshua Deitz, Crystal Coster Larson, April Keller and Angie Kuznia.
Ryckman has a bachelor’s degree in business management, Mansour has a bachelor’s degree in biology and Spanish, Deitz earned a bachelor’s degree from North Dakota State University, Coster Larson earned a degree in elementary education and Keller has a bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies.
Moore Engineering adds 2 in West Fargo office
Moore Engineering, West Fargo, has hired Greg Maynard as a building inspector and Thomas Sayward as a GIS programmer.
Maynard was previously employed as the maintenance director at Golden Living Center, Moorhead. Maynard lives in Battle Lake, Minn.
Sayward earned bachelor’s degrees in forestry and geography and an advanced certificate in GIS from the University of Idaho. He previously worked for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources as a GIS analyst. He is a native of Grand Rapids, Minn., and will live in West Fargo.
Wanzek Construction hires 2, promotes 2
Wanzek Construction, Fargo, has hired Myrna Hoekstra as director of human resources and Matt Buchanan as business development manager.
The company has also promoted Tiffany Reese to assistant director of human resources and Nicolas Fee to business development manager.
Hoekstra has more than 25 years of human resource experience and has earned a Senior Professional in Human Resources certification. She has degrees from North Dakota State University in business administration, and merchandising and retailing.
Buchanan has 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and previously was president at Grace Industries, Beaumont, Texas. Buchanan earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and communication from Western Illinois University.
Reese has worked for Wanzek for 11 years, including seven years in the human resources department. She has an associate degree in business management and has earned the Professional in Human Resources certificate.
Fee joined the company in 2010 as a project engineer. He has a degree in construction management from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration at the University of Mary.
First Community hires mortgage loan officer
First Community Credit Union has hired Clayton Lilleby as a mortgage loan officer. Lilleby is originally from Bemidji, Minn., and lives near Hawley, Minn. He will work at the branch at 1801 45th St. S., Fargo.
Lilleby graduated from Bemidji State University with a degree in psychology and graduated from the University of Mary with a master’s degree in business administration.
He has worked in financial services for more than 10 years, including Wells Fargo and First International Bank and Trust.
Two promoted at Bell State Bank and Trust
Bell State Bank and Trust, Fargo, has promoted Matthew Bushard to personal banking officer at the location at 15 Broadway, and Amy Wolf has been promoted to vice president/human resources manager at the bank’s location at 3100 13th Ave. S., both in Fargo.
Originally from Sauk Centre, Minn., Bushard earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Concordia College and has worked in the banking field for a year. He joined Bell State Bank and Trust in 2012 and was previously a part-time teller and customer service specialist. He lives in Fargo.
Wolf is originally from Moorhead and earned a bachelor’s degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead and has worked in the banking field for 15 years. She joined Bell State Bank in 2000 and most recently was a human resources specialist. She lives in Moorhead.
Gott, Vanyo join RLE Group in Fargo
The RLE Group, Fargo, has hired Jaime Gott and Nikkole Vanyo as project CAD/Revit technicians.
Gott has a background in architecture and many years of experience in architectural drafting and project management. She earned a bachelor’s degree in operations management from Minnesota State University Moorhead and is pursuing a master’s degree in construction management at North Dakota State University.
Vanyo has more than 10 years of work-related experience, most recently in residential architecture design. Vanyo is a graduate of the North Dakota State College in Science.
High Point Networks hires account manager
High Point Networks has hired Adam Martin as an account manager.
The company operates offices in West Fargo, Bismarck, Sioux Falls, S.D., Alexandria, Minn., Minneapolis and Billings, Mont.
Martin graduated from Crown College and was previously employed by Network Center, Fargo.
TMI Hospitality hires Slagle, Buchwitz
TMI Hospitality, Fargo, has hired Rich Slagle as manager of land acquisition and Dan Buchwitz as director of sales and business development for TMI Communications.
Slagle received a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, and is pursuing a master’s of business communication degree from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul. He previously was key account manager for Coca-Cola in Moorhead.
Buchwitz earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from North Dakota State University and a bachelor’s degree in hospital administration from Concordia College. He previously was a sales representative for Daiichi Sankyo Pharmaceuticals in Piscataway, N.J.
Corporate Technologies adds three to staff
Corporate Technologies, Fargo, has hired Justin Loll as a systems engineer, Blake Pester as a repair technician and Aaron Swinkels as a service sales executive.
Loll graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in computer information technology. He previously worked as an OEM project specialist at Microsoft, Fargo, through Cayuse Technologies.
Pester will graduate in May from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He previously worked at Phoenix International, Fargo.
Swinkels studied policy and planning at Western Washington University, Bellingham. He has a background in insurance, marketing and sales. He was previously employed at Corwin Toyota, Fargo.
