Young propels Patriots in sweep of Waite Park

WAITE PARK, Minn. – Andy Young allowed two runs on the mound and drove in two runs on a go-ahead double in the seventh inning as the West Fargo Patriots won the opener of an American Legion baseball doubleheader against Waite Park (Minn.) on Wednesday.

Young had four hits in the 4-2 win in Game 1.

The Patriots won the second game 17-3 behind three hits each from Devin Wagenman and Camran Bonnema.

Ben Bruenjes had three hits and two RBIs for West Fargo (15-5, 7-2 ND) in a 6-1 win against Grand Forks late Tuesday night.
