Charges: Woman wrote bad check at fundraiserMOORHEAD – A Fargo woman is charged with passing almost $2,000 in bad checks in stores here in the months leading up to her arrest for passing bad checks at Fargo businesses, including during a charity night fundraiser for the Great Plains Food Bank.
Kelly Anne Tigerstrom, 39, was charged Monday in Clay County District Court with one count of issuing dishonored checks and one count of theft, both felonies.
Court documents filed in the case allege Tigerstrom wrote the checks from Sept. 25 to Nov. 24 to businesses in amounts ranging from $75 at Cash Wise to $587.79 at Marguerite’s Music.
Tigerstrom is also facing felony theft of property and forgery charges in Cass County District Court. She was arrested in December in Fargo while allegedly trying to pawn jewelry for which she’d written a bad check for $1,200.
Tigerstrom’s next court appearance is set for July 11.
