Shed fire causes nearly $10,000 in damageFARGO – A fire here destroyed a shed and threatened to do the same to a neighbor’s property before firefighters arrived Friday afternoon.
When fire crews arrived to a home at 3563 Longfellow Road N., around 2:40 p.m., the shed was fully engulfed in flames. The fire had spread to a nearby fence and was threatening a neighbor’s shed, according to a news release from the fire department.
The homeowner had backed his riding lawn mower into the shed and then noticed the fire, the release said. He tried to put the fire out with a garden hose, but the fire was too large.
The first crew to arrive on scene quickly extinguished the fire before it spread further.
The cause was listed as undetermined, according to the statement by fire crews.
Damage was estimated at $9,500.
