Contributions - 06/22/13$1,000 grant awarded to after-school program
ARGUSVILLE, N.D. – The Argusville Youth Commission has received a $1,000 philanthropy and youth grant from Northern Cass High School students for the after-school program at Northern Cass Elementary School. The grant was made possible by the Bremer Foundation.
The grant will support the five core program areas of character and leadership development, education and career development, health and life skills, the arts and sports/fitness/recreation and the funds will be applied toward program supplies, books and games.
Grant supports Rainbow Bridge visitation center
Lakes & Prairies Community Action Partnership, Moorhead, has received a $4,500 grant from the Fargo-Moorhead Area Foundation.
The grant will support the work of the Rainbow Bridge Safe Exchange and Supervised Visitation Center program.
Golf tournament raises $25K for scholarships
More than $25,000 was raised at the annual Shooting Star Scholarship Golf Tournament June 7 at the Mahnomen (Minn.) Country Club.
All tournament proceeds benefit the Shooting Star Scholarship Fund, which raises money for scholarships to be awarded to White Earth tribal members and descendants seeking post-secondary education.
Donation received for 4-H camp renovation
TransCanada Corp. has donated $25,000 to the North Dakota 4-H Foundation for the renovation of the North Dakota 4-H Camp near Washburn.
The renovation is part of a $1.9 million project to upgrade camp facilities, expand outdoor camping opportunities and construct a multipurpose 4-H center.
