Fargo man pleads not guilty in break-in, standoffFARGO – A Fargo man arrested after a SWAT team standoff last month at his home here has pleaded not guilty to burglary charges in the case.
Travis Eugene Zierke, 30, is charged in Cass County District Court with one count of Class B felony burglary.
Zierke was arrested after an hourlong standoff with police late last month after a friend of Zierke’s called police to report Zierke had broken into the friend’s garage at 1738 11th St. S., and then pulled a gun on him.
Before his arrest, Zierke held police at bay at his south Fargo mobile home, then came out of the house in only his underwear when a smoke device was detonated.
Court documents filed in the case say Zierke told police the friend had pulled a gun on him first. His next court appearance is set for Aug 14.
