More lane closures of I-94 begin MondayFARGO – The left lanes of both eastbound and westbound Interstate 94 here will close starting at 6 a.m. Monday.
The lanes will be closed from the pedestrian bridge to Ninth Street South.
The closures will allow work to begin on the concrete pavement repair project and a replacement of permanent striping in the area.
Crews will remove deteriorated concrete and replace those sections with new concrete.
Also, the tri-level ramp that connects southbound Interstate 29 to I-94 eastbound will be reduced to one lane for work on the entry of the ramp.
Interstate work already is taking place between University Drive and 25th Street South. The left lanes on both sides will be closed while crews work on the pedestrian bridge that crosses the interstate. The pedestrian bridge is closed to bikers and walkers.
Weather permitting, the full I-94 project is expected to be complete in October.
