Moorhead construction moves to Fifth Street on MondayMOORHEAD – Traffic signal and pedestrian improvement work on Main Avenue here will transition from Sixth Street to Fifth Street on Monday.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation also said in a release that traffic at the Main Avenue and Fifth Street intersection will have temporary four-way stop signs during construction, weather permitting.
Once work begins, the Fifth Street railroad crossing just north of Main Avenue will close until the new signal is operational.
Crews will also be working in the following areas where traffic will be reduced to one land and sidewalk detours may be common:
• Northbound Eighth Street between 10th and 24th avenues.
• Southbound Eighth Street between Main and 10th avenues.
• Southbound Eighth Street between 30th and 40th avenues
• Center Avenue and 14th Street
