Jamestown’s Bennion secures NDGA girls junior title

BISMARCK – Sierra Bennion of Jamestown came from behind to claim the girls division Wednesday in the North Dakota Golf Association boys junior championship.

Bennion trailed Kathleen Marsh of Fargo by four strokes after Tuesday’s action.

Bennion fired a 79 on Tuesday and a 71 on Wednesday for a two-day total of 150. Marsh carded a 75 and a 79 for a total of 154.

Jake DeForest of Bismarck won the boys title.
