Schafer documentary to air on Prairie Public

WASHBURN, N.D. – The documentary “Mr. Bubble: The Harold Schafer Story” will air on Prairie Public Television at 7 p.m. Thursday.

The film follows the life and career of Schafer, North Dakota Rough Rider Hall of Fame recipient and founder of the Gold Seal Co., the original maker of Mr. Bubble bubble bath.

Archival photographs and film drive the documentary, in addition to interviews with many who knew Schafer, including his wife, Sheila, and his son, former Gov. Ed Schafer.

The film is the third from Clay S. Jenkinson and the Dakota Institute, part of the Lewis & Clark Fort Mandan Foundation, Washburn, N.D.
