Minn. HS hall monitor accused of sex assaultMINNEAPOLIS — A Robbinsdale Cooper High School hall monitor is accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old student in her home last week.
Forty-one-year-old Tajreed Rich of Minneapolis was charged Tuesday with third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
According to the criminal complaint, the girl's father arrived home unexpectedly Friday and heard sounds from his daughter's bedroom. He opened the door and saw his daughter naked on the bed and Rich also naked and standing over her.
Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman says Rich was in a position of authority.
Rich had been employed at Cooper since January 2011. He also helped with the football program.
School officials called it "a horrible incident." The school says Rich was fired Monday.
