Charges: Interrupted pool game led to shootingST. PAUL — Prosecutors say an interrupted game of pool led to the fatal shooting of a St. Paul bar owner and the wounding of two men.
The Ramsey County Attorney's office Tuesday charged a 22-year-old Minneapolis man and his 26-year-old brother-in-law with second-degree murder and attempted murder.
Cheng Vang is charged with fatally shooting owner Vone Moua at Malina's Sports Bar early Sunday.
According to the complaint, Vang's brother-in-law, Yia Her of Oakdale, became angry that he couldn't shoot pool after closing time and wasn't reimbursed the $20 he had paid to play.
Vang allegedly brought the gun to the bar. Authorities allege Vang also shot two other men at the bar. Both are expected to survive.
The Star Tribune reports Vang remains at large. Her is in jail.
