5-year old West Fargo boy injured when bike struck by carWEST FARGO – A 5-year-old boy suffered minor injuries here this morning after he was hit by a car while riding his bike.
According to a news release from West Fargo police, the boy was taken to the hospital by ambulance with minor injuries to his arms and legs after he was hit by a car in the 1100 block of 46th Avenue West.
Police said the boy, who wasn’t wearing a helmet, was on Sunrise Drive and attempted to cross 46th Avenue West when he was struck by a car heading east on 46th Avenue driven by Tori Decker of Fargo.
The car was not going fast, police at the scene said.
The boy’s name and condition were not released this afternoon.
The incident remains under investigation by the West Fargo police and the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
