Style Profile: Effortless, collected style important to marketing intern
The Kilbourne Group marketing intern blends cool with collected, creating a timeless, fresh look.
I spotted Maland, who’s five months pregnant with her second child, downtown in the Loretta Building wearing a comfortable, stylish ensemble.
Describe your style. Effortless and a little eccentric.
What are you wearing today? Blazer from Topshop, necklace from Proper & Prim, earrings by Botny (designed by local artist Dana Holscher), a Gap Pure shirt, Urban Outfitter pants, Badgley Mischka handbag and Relic watch.
What’s the key to having effortless style? I think having a sense of self is important and knowing what you want to exude.
Who or what inspires your style? Good friends and people I see on the street inspire my style. My friend, Dani Naboulsi, is always on the frontline of what’s fashionable.
What’s your favorite item in your closet? My blazer that I’m wearing today means a lot to me because I bought it while studying abroad in Oxford, England.
Where do you shop? Unglued, Loft, H&M, Target, Gap, Forever 21 and thrift stores. I also shop online for maternity clothes because it’s so hard to find cute ones.
What’s your favorite city for fashion? Barcelona, Spain. It’s carefree, comfortable, colorful and vibrant. Traveling has definitely influenced my style.
How many tattoos do you have? Nine, and all are very significant to me.
