Letter: Thanks to Fargo public schoolsOn May 28, I had the pleasure of keynoting the North Dakota Roughrider Health Promotion Conference in Medora. I travel the world speaking at some of the largest health education conferences. I have been on Oprah’s show. I have been featured in USA TODAY. I have never been to a Health Promotion conference like the Roughrider Conference in Medora.
This Roughrider Conference puts North Dakota on the world map for hosting one of the best health promotion conferences anywhere. The person who helped make the conference happen is from the Fargo Public Schools. Rodney Volk is a teacher at Fargo’s Ben Franklin Middle School. The Roughrider Health Promotion Association staff led by President Rodney Volk, who is a combination visionary, organizer, taskmaster and untiring workhorse, put on a world-class conference. Volk’s personal and professional demeanors are a positive reflection on the Fargo Public Schools and the state of North Dakota. One of the goals of the conference is to help North Dakota teachers help keep North Dakota students safe and healthy so they can learn more and live better.
Thank you, Fargo Public Schools, for all you do to help us Roughriders help your North Dakota kids.
