Fargo police arrest 3 suspects in cab robbery
According to Fargo Deputy Police Chief Pat Claus:
A Doyle’s cab driver called police just before 5 a.m. to report he had been robbed at gunpoint.
The driver told police he was dispatched to an area of apartments in the 3300 block of 15th Avenue South to pick up someone going to the airport.
The driver said when he got there, he was approached by two men who were carrying a suitcase.
The men told him they had additional luggage and directed him to another area.
The driver told police that when he got there, he was approached by two different men who were wearing masks and armed with handguns.
The men took his money and fled, the driver said.
Prior to the robbery report, police detectives had been in the same area executing a search warrant on a separate matter.
Armed with that knowledge, police contacted an individual connected to the earlier search, and the man agreed to meet with detectives at the police station. Claus wouldn’t discuss the nature of that search warrant.
After questioning the man, police arrested him on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery.
Claus identified the man as Arbnor Luma, 20, of Fargo.
Luma’s twin brother, Arbit Luma, 20, was also arrested on suspicion of Class B felony robbery.
A 17-year-old juvenile is the fourth suspect in the case. The teen’s case will be forwarded to juvenile court.
Late Wednesday afternoon, police executed another search warrant near the site of the robbery, and a second man was questioned and arrested in connection with the robbery.
Claus identified that suspect as Noah Nigel Garcia, 21, of Fargo.
The investigation is ongoing, he said.
