RedHawks game suspended due to wet field conditionsFARGO – The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks game against the Lincoln Saltdogs on Tuesday was suspended due to wet field conditions.
The American Association baseball game was in the fourth inning when rain halted the action at Newman Outdoor Field. The game will resume at 5 p.m. Wednesday and is scheduled for nine innings. That contest will be followed by a seven-inning game.
The RedHawks had a 4-3 lead in Tuesday’s game. Lincoln was batting with two outs and no one on base in the top of the fourth inning.
The RedHawks scored all four of their runs in the second inning. Newly signed left fielder Tyler Graham sparked the rally with an RBI single in his first at-bat with F-M.
Graham played in 10 games with the Arizona Diamondbacks last season.
“He’s going to add some speed, the ability to go catch a ball,” RedHawks manager Doug Simunic said. “He’s a slashing type hitter with speed and defensive abilities.”
Tyler is the brother of Lindsey Graham, a former standout pitcher for the North Dakota State softball team.
The RedHawks (9-9) are in the midst of a four-game winning streak.
