Motorcyclist thrown in Richland crashABERCROMBIE, N.D. – A 24-year-old motorcyclist was injured Sunday when he failed to negotiate a curve near the Fort Abercrombie historic site.
Joshua Taylor Wold was eastbound on Richland County Road 4 here. He was passing Fort Abercrombie, heading toward the Red River bridge , when his motorcycle hit a driveway approach and became airborne, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The motorcycle landed on the Fort Abercrombie grounds and toppled to rest. Wold was thrown and came to rest near the motorcycle, according to Sgt. Josh Rude.
Wold was taken by LifeFlight helicopter ambulance to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo. A condition report was not immediately available Sunday night.
The motorcycle was moderately damaged. Charges are pending, according to Rude’s report.
