Man charged in scissors attack at Wahpeton storeWAHPETON, N.D. — Bond has been set at $50,000 for South Dakota man charged with attacking a female store clerk with a pair of scissors at a Wahpeton store.
Authorities say 20-year-old Christopher Brent Yellow Earrings of Peever, S.D., was charged with eight felonies on Friday. He requested a court-appointed attorney
Police Chief Scott Thorsteinson says Yellow Earrings entered the Family Dollar around 8 p.m. Wednesday and forced six people into a back room, threatening them with a scissors. The chief says Yellow Earrings then blocked the door with heavy objects to prevent them from leaving.
Authorites say Yellow Earrings then assaulted a female clerk with the scissors, causing a cut that required stitches.
Officers responded and used a stun gun on Yellow Earrings before arresting him.
