Men plead not guilty in Facebook burglaryFARGO – Two Fargo men have pleaded not guilty to theft and burglary charges accusing them of breaking into a Harwood home and leaving a cellphone there with the suspect’s Facebook app open to his profile.
Matthew William Hedstrom, 34, pleaded not guilty Friday in Cass County District Court to Class B felony and Class A misdemeanor counts of theft and a Class C felony count of burglary.
His next court appearance is set for June 26.
Hedstrom and Benjamin Paul Emerson, 25, are accused of breaking into the home Jan. 25, after which a sheriff’s deputy found the cellphone on the ground near the door, according to court records.
Emerson also entered a not guilty plea Friday in Cass County District Court, to a single count of C felony burglary.
His next court appearance is set for June 25.
