Woman pleads not guilty to boot assaultFARGO – A Fargo woman has pleaded not guilty to criminal charges in connection with an April 21 incident in which she allegedly beat her boyfriend unconscious with a boot after he and his friends disturbed her sleep.
Bonnie Kay Hanson, 36, pleaded not guilty Thursday in Cass County District Court to aggravated assault and preventing arrest, both Class C felonies.
According to charging documents, Hanson called police to say that her boyfriend, Andrew Vivier, had broken into her home at 2616 8th St. N. No. 2 and put a knife to her neck.
Documents say Hanson later admitted to police she had yelled at Hanson for making noise with his friends while she was trying to sleep, and when he grabbed a boot, she took it from him and hit him in the head several times, knocking him unconscious.
Her next court appearance is set for July 24.
