Anderson falls short to qualify for U.S. Open

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Amy Anderson’s bid to qualify for the U.S. Women’s Open fell short Wednesday at The Broadmoor West golf course.

Anderson, the former North Dakota State All-American from Oxbow, N.D., carded two rounds of 79 to total 158.

Sally Watson of Scotland carded the best score at 148. Nichole Zang of Canada joined Watson as a U.S. Open qualifier with a total score of 149.
