Fargo Public Library's Summer Reading Program begins MondayFARGO – The Fargo Public Library’s annual Summer Reading Program for kids, teens and adults begins Monday and runs through Aug. 3. The children’s summer reading program theme is “Dig Into Reading.” Weekly craft events, storytimes, movies and performances for kids up to age 12 based on this theme are planned at all three library locations.
The teen program this summer is titled “Beneath the Surface,” and all area teens ages 11 to 18 are eligible to participate. Special themed events for teens are planned each week.
Adults are also invited to participate in the library’s summer reading incentive program, “Dig Into Reading.” The program is designed to encourage adults to read books and explore all of the resources that the Fargo Public Library has to offer.
To participate in the library’s reading incentive programs, pick up an official book log for kids and teens or a bookmark log for adults at any Fargo Public Library location beginning Monday.
Fargo Public Library events are free and open to the public. A complete schedule of summer reading program events is available at all library locations and at www.fargolibrary.org.
