South Fargo checkpoint leads to 4 DUI arrestsFARGO – A late-night sobriety checkpoint in south Fargo Tuesday resulted in four DUI arrests by area law enforcement agencies.
The checkpoint was set up from 11:10 p.m. to 2:20 a.m. in the 1400 block of University Drive south in Fargo.
A total of 267 vehicles entered the checkpoint.
Eight vehicles were flagged for further testing and four drivers were arrested for DUI.
The Fargo Police Department, along with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, M.A.D.D., EVAC, and Fargo Police Volunteers, set up the checkpoint.
Since October 2004, Fargo police have conducted 57 sobriety checkpoints resulting in 172 arrests for DUI.
