Bison guard Lawrence Alexander injured, may have tore Achilles' tendon

FARGO - North Dakota State may be without its starting point guard at the start of next season.

Head coach Saul Phillips said he’ll know today on the severity of a leg injury to Lawrence Alexander, but the fear is that he tore his Achilles’ heel.

Alexander suffered the injury while working out Tuesday afternoon. The 6-foot-3 incoming junior started all 34 games last season, averaging 10.8 points and leading the team with 124 assists.
