Wisconsin police officer bitten while breaking up wedding party brawlMONONA, Wis. — Police in Dane County say a disturbance at a wedding party devolved into a brawl in which a man bit an officer on the hand.
Monona police responded Sunday evening to a report that a person tried to run someone over in a parking lot.
WISC-TV reported that Monona police requested assistance from Madison police because of the number of people involved.
Police separated some of the people involved. They said one man then became belligerent, fought with officers and bit one of them on the hand.
As two officers tried to get the man under control, other bystanders tried to intervene to free him. A second officer was injured in that scuffle.
The alleged biter and three others were arrested. Alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor.
