Bismarck police investigating apartment shooting

BISMARCK — Bismarck police are investigating a non-injury shooting at a downtown apartment.

Police tell the Bismarck Tribune that a bullet from an adjacent apartment entered a man's bedroom where he was sleeping.

Police Sgt. Mark Buschena says the 40-year-old Bismarck man reported the gunshot about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Buschena says a man who lives in another apartment claimed the gunshot was accidental. He says the 9mm handgun bullet pierced a door, hit a wall and was found in a dresser drawer.

Buschena says no arrests have been made.
