Hires and promotions - 05/25/13Avard named designer, sales specialist
InterOffice Workspace Furniture and Design, Fargo, has promoted Amanda Avard to full-time interior designer and sales specialist.
She has worked for InterOffice for a year, starting as an intern. Avard has an associate degree in arts and science and recently received a bachelor’s degree in interior design from North Dakota State University.
Two promoted to plant manager at SK Food
Josh Thorsvig and Justin Stoll have been promoted to plant managers at SK Food Specialty Processing, Moorhead.
Thorsvig and Stoll will oversee all cleaning and processing activities for identity-preserved non-GMO and certified organic beans, grains and seeds at the plant.
Thorsvig has been employed at SK Food Specialty Processing for 10 years, and Stoll has been with the company for six years.
General Equipment & Supplies hires four
General Equipment & Supplies, Fargo, has hired Josh Gebhardt, Jeremy George and Jeremy Lichtenberger as service technicians.
Gebhardt is a graduate of the North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton, George graduated from Alexandria (Minn.) Technical and Community College and Lichtenberger is a graduate of Minnesota State Community and Technical College.
Gebhardt, George and Lichtenberger all previously worked for the company as service interns.
Ulteig in Fargo hires Armour, Ranz
Ulteig, Fargo, has hired Betsy Armour as marketing communication specialist and Alex Ranz as a graduate engineer in transportation within civil services.
Armour graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She previously worked at Eide Bailly as a communications specialist.
Ranz recently received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from North Dakota State University. Before coming to Ulteig, he worked as a student design assistant with the North Dakota Department of Transportation Support Center.
Pam Holtz hired as nurse practitioner
Pam Holtz has joined Internal Medicine Associates Healthcare in Fargo as a licensed family nurse practitioner.
She provides comprehensive office visits and manages chronic health issues, along with the diagnosis and treatment of new medical conditions.
Holtz earned a master’s degree in nursing from Frontier Nursing University, Hyden, Ky. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Minnesota.
She has experience as a nurse working at an endoscopy clinic, pain clinic, urgent care center and hospital emergency room.
Four promoted at Credit Collections Bureau
Chandra Grace, Lindy Sophia, Jill Harper and Brady Owens have been promoted to collection associates in the Fargo office of the Credit Collections Bureau.
Slebodnik hired as web developer at Absolute
Absolute Marketing Group in Moorhead has hired Josh Slebodnik as a web developer.
He is a graduate of Minnesota State Community and Technical College with a web development degree. He is experienced in HTML, CSS and Responsive web design, graphic design and video editing. He was previously employed as a WordPress web developer at Code Roadies in Grand Forks.
Conzemius hired as workers comp specialist
Katlyn Conzemius has joined the RDO Equipment Co./R.D. Offutt Co. field support office in Fargo as the workers compensation/leave specialist.
She was most recently employed at Friendship Inc. as a vocational coordinator. She graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in women’s studies.
Swanston hires controller, IT manager
Swanston Equipment, Fargo, has hired Chad Ogdahl as controller and information technology manager.
Ogdahl is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. He is a certified public accountant and certified information technology professional.
He was previously an audit supervisor with Fiebiger, Swanson, West & Co., Fargo.
DFC Consultants names technical consultant
Cory Severson has joined DFC Consultants, Fargo, as a technical consultant.
He will assist customers with implementations, upgrades and support of software solutions including Microsoft Dynamics GP and Business Portal.
Severson has more than seven years of experience and previously worked at Microsoft as a senior support engineer. He has master’s degrees in business administration and project management from the University of Mary and bachelor’s degrees in management information systems and business administration from North Dakota State University.
NDSCS hires Wilfong as recruitment coordinator
The North Dakota State College of Science has hired Kipp Wilfong as recruitment coordinator in the enrollment services department on the Wahpeton campus.
Wilfong graduated from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, with a bachelor’s degree in communication and a master’s degree in communication and educational leadership.
He previously worked as the outreach coordinator and regional admissions representative for UND and managed the southeast region outreach office on the NDSCS campus.
ND Right to Life names executive director
The North Dakota Right to Life has named Devyn Nelson as executive director.
Prior to being named executive director, he served on the board of directors as vice president.
Grant Ellis joins Dawson Insurance
Grant Ellis has joined Dawson Insurance, Fargo, as a personal lines account manager.
Ellis has an associate degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead. He has more than five years of customer service experience from an insurance agency in west-central Minnesota.
Messner joins TMI as service coordinator
TMI Hospitality, Fargo, has hired Angie Messner as a service coordinator.
Messner graduated with a degree in information technology from Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead, and Minnesota State University Moorhead. She also earned a diploma in medical transcription from MSCTC, Moorhead.
She was previously employed by the Sanford Health business office in Fargo, where she handled the special billing and Minnesota Blue Shield desks.
Noridian promotes four people in Fargo
Noridian Administrative Services, Fargo, has promoted Lori Holt to manager of budgets and reporting in finance. Pam Gordon has been promoted to director of the provider call center.
Can “Jon” Aydinova has been promoted to vice president and chief architect in enterprise strategic services and Jennifer Satter was promoted to HR employment manager, both at Noridian Mutual Insurance Co.
Holt manages financial activities for NAS, including the annual corporate budget, forecasting, pricing of new business proposals and modifications of existing contracts. She is a native of Moorhead and a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Satter provides HR-related services that are aligned with the strategic goals of the human resources and development division and NAS. In 2001, she was hired at NMIC as an HR generalist and was promoted to senior representative in 2004. In 2005, she was promoted to team leader. Satter grew up in Fargo and graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She earned a professional in human resources certification in 2000.
Aydinova is responsible for the enterprise architecture, business application and testing and quality teams. He joined the company in 2012 as director of enterprise architecture and chief architect in information technology. Born and raised in Cyprus, he earned a bachelor’s degree in applied physics from the University of Waterloo in Ontario and earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix and is pursuing a doctorate in information technology from Minneapolis-based Capella University.
Gordon is responsible for all areas of provider customer service for NAS for the Jurisdiction F and Jurisdiction E contracts, including the customer service areas of Part A and B general inquiries, provider enrollment, electronic data interchange phone reopenings and user security. Born in Aberdeen, S.D., she earned a certified professional coders certificate from Clarkson College, Omaha, Neb., and she attended the North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton.
Bell State Bank names new branch managers
Jonathan Donnelly has been named vice president and branch manager of Bell State Bank & Trust’s location in Hawley, Minn., and Patty Bohnenstingl has been named vice president/branch manager at Bell State Bank & Trust at 5050 13th Ave. S., Fargo.
Donnelly, a Fargo native, earned business and finance degrees from North Dakota State University and has worked in the banking field for nearly 10 years. He joined Bell State Bank & Trust in 2008 and most recently served as vice president and branch manager at the location at 5050 13th Ave. S., Fargo.
Bohnenstingl is originally from Lidgerwood, N.D., and earned a business management degree from the North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton. She has worked in the banking field for 30 years. Bohnenstingl previously served as deposit services manager.
Three join Blue Cross Blue Shield of ND
Russ Boyle has rejoined Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota in Fargo as director of the customer contact center, and BCBSND has hired Cindy Gohner as director of quality management in health network innovation and Kathy Helming as director of continuous improvement and performance in health network innovation.
Boyle began his BCBSND career in 2000 as a human resources business partner and was promoted to operational team leader. From 2005 to 2009, he was manager of the Noridian Administrative Services office in Jamestown, N.D. A native of Moorhead, Boyle earned bachelor’s degrees in history, political science and sociology from Jamestown College.
Gohner began her nursing career as a registered nurse at Jamestown Hospital, where she worked for the past 31 years and since 2005 served as the hospital’s vice president of clinical services and chief nursing officer. Born in Devils Lake, N.D., Gohner grew up in Jamestown and received a nursing diploma from the Bismarck Hospital School of Nursing. She earned a bachelor’s of nursing degree from Jamestown College and a master’s degree in business administration from University of Mary, Bismarck.
Helming previously worked as executive director of the office of continuous improvement at Sanford Health, Fargo. A native of Rugby, N.D., Helming grew up in Minot, N.D., and earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from North Dakota State University and a master’s degree in administration with a health services concentration from Central Michigan University.
