Woman sentenced for threatening ND lawmaker's life

LIDGERWOOD, N.D. — A woman accused of threatening to kill a North Dakota legislator because she was upset about abortion legislation will not serve jail time if she stays out of trouble.

The Daily News of Wahpeton reports (http://bit.ly/124b7fG ) that 39-year-old Nicolette Knudson, of Lidgerwood, pleaded guilty to threatening a public servant and was given a deferred one-year jail term.

If she successfully completes a year of probation the charge will be removed from her record.

Knudson was accused of calling Bismarck Sen. Margaret Sitte in the early morning hours of Feb. 27 and threatening her life.
