Davies scores four runs in top of eighth to secure first-round victory

FARGO – A four-run eighth inning was the difference for Fargo Davies in a 6-4 victory against Fargo North in the first round of the North Dakota East Region softball tournament Thursday at Anderson Fields.

Morgan Smith and Shelby Malmanger each had two hits and scored two runs for the Eagles.

Keely Spiess homered for the Spartans, while Morgan Shelton drove in two runs.
